About the role

Unique 7-month combined program for final-year Master's students, combining 3 days of dedicated academic thesis research within R&D Labs with 2 days of paid hands-on experience as a student assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct innovative, high-quality quantitative research for your Master's thesis with a strong practical focus on investment decision-making.
  • Collaborate with academics, students, and system engineers to research and experiment with novel modeling approaches.
  • Work 2 days per week as a student assistant within one or more commercial departments based on your career interests.
  • Bridge the gap between advanced financial theory and production-grade software or portfolio analytics.
  • Participate in bi-weekly global research meetings and present thesis updates to the quantitative community.
Requirements:
  • Currently in the final stage of a Master of Science (MSc) in Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a natural appetite for problem-solving and translating theory into practice.
  • Eager to work in a flat, collaborative, and highly academic fintech environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English; command of Dutch is considered a plus.
  • Willingness to spend approximately 7 months on the combined program (start date flexible, earliest September 2026).
