About the role

IMC is seeking a Trader Intern for its Summer 2027 internship program in Amsterdam. In this role, interns will delve into the proprietary trading landscape during an intensive first week of engaging classroom-based learning. Daily responsibilities include generating and iterating quantitative trading strategies, developing tools, functionality, and visibility for specific trading use cases, and collaborating on meaningful projects under the guidance of dedicated mentors. Additionally, interns will participate in simulated trading challenges and shadow various trading desks to gain direct exposure to high-frequency trading dynamics. Candidates must be in their penultimate year of study in mathematics, physics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field with an expected graduation in 2028. Outstanding analytical skills and a genuine interest in financial markets are required, while proficiency in programming languages like Python, Matlab, or R is highly advantageous.
