Forecasting & ML Data Scientist

Join Eneco's Forecasting & Delivery team in Rotterdam to build a next-generation forecasting platform for the heating business. Your core objective is to develop advanced machine learning solutions and predictive models that optimize heat and energy portfolio management, balance supply and demand, and mitigate external market risks. You will analyze complex smart meter datasets, build robust and scalable data pipelines, and improve forecasting methodologies. Working at the intersection of data science, data engineering, and software development, you will design automated prediction models, implement DevOps principles, and manage the complete model lifecycle from data sources to deployment and monitoring. The technical stack includes Python, Git, and Azure DevOps. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into high-impact forecasting products that drive sustainable energy solutions.
