Junior / Medior Data & AI Consultant – Financial Services (Benelux)

The role at Milliman as a Data & AI Consultant focuses on modernizing the analytical landscapes of financial institutions within the Benelux region. This involves designing and implementing scalable data solutions, cloud-based applications, and AI-enabled workflows. Key responsibilities include migrating complex analytical and financial models, often Excel-based, to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, and developing robust data pipelines for processing and managing large datasets. Consultants will also be involved in designing efficient data structures and architectures, and supporting the implementation of AI and machine learning solutions, including large language models, within client environments. The team collaborates with quantitative experts and actuaries to transform legacy models into modern, maintainable, and production-ready solutions, applying software engineering best practices such as version control, testing, and CI/CD. The role requires strong programming skills, preferably in Python, a solid understanding of data engineering concepts including databases and SQL, and experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Functions). Familiarity with containerization and DevOps tooling is also desired, alongside an understanding of financial services, insurance, and quantitative or actuarial modelling.
