AI Consultant – Financial Services & Risk

Zanders is seeking an AI Consultant at the Senior Consultant or Manager level to join its Risk Advisory Group in Utrecht. The team focuses on delivering enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions for banks, insurers, and financial institutions across Europe. Key daily responsibilities include designing, implementing, and deploying GenAI systems, such as autonomous agent frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and fine-tuned models, which are robust enough to run in production and survive regulatory audits. Additionally, consultants will govern AI risk by writing AI risk policies, validating LLM systems, and translating complex regulations like the EU AI Act and model risk management frameworks into practical guidance. On the technical and quantitative side, the role requires strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with LLM engineering, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation. Experience leveraging cloud AI/ML infrastructure, specifically Azure and Databricks, is highly valued. Consultants must also be capable of explaining technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and senior executives.
