Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist within the Enterprise Enabling Data Domain at ABN AMRO, you will be instrumental in leveraging AI to transform the banking industry. This cross-functional team focuses on delivering Business Insights and AI solutions across various I&T organizations and stakeholders. Your core responsibilities include designing, training, and evaluating advanced machine learning models, including generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM)-based solutions. You will work with complex datasets, metadata structures, knowledge graphs, and unstructured data to develop scalable, production-ready AI products. This involves translating complex business challenges into AI opportunities, collaborating with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts, and advising on responsible AI principles, data quality, explainability, and model governance. The role requires hands-on experience with modern tooling and cloud-based platforms, driving innovation through experimentation with emerging AI techniques like agentic systems and vector-based retrieval.
