About the role

The Trading Risk Management (TRM) CEM & Macro global department within ING's CRO Financial Risk organization provides independent risk oversight for the Credit Exposure Management (CEM) desk of Financial Markets. The team manages ING's global valuation adjustment (XVA) risks arising from global derivative activities as well as risks from Macro strategies. Daily responsibilities include engaging with the Front Office, Risk, and Finance to discuss and challenge portfolio developments, XVA models, P&L, and risk impacts. The specialist will strengthen the risk framework, conduct portfolio reviews, pre-trade assessments, ad-hoc scenario analysis, and limit monitoring (such as sensitivities, Value-at-Risk, and stress testing). Additionally, the role involves updating risk appetite settings, developing risk model monitoring activities, ensuring robust model risk governance, and supporting regulatory initiatives such as the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB). Quantitative methods center on valuation adjustments (CVA/DVA/FVA/COLLVA), counterparty credit risk (CCR) metrics, wrong-way risk, collateral/CSA terms, and stress testing. The technical stack requires proficiency in Excel and Python, with knowledge of SQL and VBA considered a major plus.
