Financial Risk Manager IRM Capital Markets Investments

APG is seeking a Financial Risk Manager within the Investment Risk Management (IRM) Capital Markets Investments team based in Amsterdam. In this role, you will provide independent investment risk management, performance analysis, and risk monitoring across APG Asset Management's capital markets asset classes, including Equities, Government Bonds, Mortgages, Investment Grade and High Yield Credits, and Private Credit. Daily responsibilities include reviewing investment proposals, delivering substantiated risk opinions, performing second-line risk and performance oversight, evaluating operational due diligence (ODD), and ensuring investment compliance at both portfolio and mandate levels. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous enhancement, digitization, and automated reporting of quantitative risk frameworks to support executive decision-making. Candidates should hold an academic degree in Economics, Econometrics, or Finance, possess 1 to 5 years of relevant experience, and bring strong skills in data dashboarding and programming using tools such as Python, Alteryx, and Qlik, along with familiarity with market platforms like RiskMetrics, FactSet, and Bloomberg.
