Domain Lead Insurance Risk Management

NN Life & Pensions is seeking a Domain Lead Insurance Risk Manager to join its Financial Risk Management (FRM) team in Rotterdam. The FRM team, consisting of 17 professionals with backgrounds in actuarial science and financial risk management, is responsible for risk modeling and balance sheet management. In this senior role, you will coordinate the development, validation, approval, and maintenance of risk models for key financial and insurance risks, such as mortality, morbidity, persistency, and expense inflation. Additionally, you will drive the annual and ad hoc updates to actuarial best estimate assumptions within a Solvency II framework. Acting as a key interlocutor, you will lead communications regarding models and assumptions with the actuarial function holder, model validation teams, internal and external auditors, and regulatory supervisors. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a proactive mindset for anticipating emerging risks, and the ability to mentor junior colleagues while managing multiple stakeholders.
