Senior Data Scientist - AI Strategy Team

ABN AMRO is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its AI Strategy Team within the Centre of Expertise Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence, embedded in the Finance & Risk Data Domain. The successful candidate will design, build, and scale (Gen)AI applications to improve risk data management, optimize data quality, automate reporting, and signal clients in distress. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary Scrum/DevOps teams, translating complex business challenges into robust AI solutions, and engaging with senior stakeholders to deploy scalable models. Technically, the role demands strong hands-on expertise in Python, Spark, SQL, and Databricks within an Azure cloud ecosystem. Quantitative methods involve building machine learning models, implementing pipeline optimization techniques, and deploying generative AI and advanced analytical tools. Applicants should have a pragmatic, learning-focused mindset, combined with outstanding English communication skills and at least 5 to 7 years of data science and AI engineering experience.
